The Scourge of Addiction

Substance use disorder remains one of America’s most urgent public health challenges. In 2024, an estimated 80,391 people in the U.S. died from drug overdoses, with synthetic opioids like fentanyl continuing to drive the crisis. Deaths involving methamphetamine and cocaine also remain high, often in combination with opioids.

More than 20 million Americans live with a substance use disorder, yet 90% receive no treatment. Addiction affects individuals, families, and communities across the country, contributing to lost lives, broken homes, and rising healthcare costs.

At Victory House, we are committed to addressing this crisis through compassionate, evidence-based care in a safe, supportive environment.
